Spend a full day exploring Tierra del Fuego National Park, riding the End of the World Train, and sailing the Beagle Channel.
Tierra del Fuego National Park, located at the southernmost tip of Argentina, boasts stunning landscapes and unforgettable experiences. A must-see attraction is the historic “Train of the End of the World” (Tren del Fin del Mundo).
This narrow-gauge steam railway winds through the breathtaking scenery of Tierra del Fuego, offering a journey rich in history and natural beauty. Originally built in the early 20th century to transport prisoners, the train now provides visitors with a unique way to explore the park’s forests, rivers, and mountains.
To complete the adventure, set sail on an unforgettable navigation through the Beagle Channel, including a visit to Isla Lobos, a haven of extraordinary wildlife and scenic marvels.
We’ll start our journey along National Route No. 3, passing through the Río Pipo valley and Monte Susana’s slopes until we reach the Austral Fueguino Railway station. This area was once worked by former Ushuaia prison inmates gathering firewood.
After exploring the station, you’ll board the End of the World Train for a scenic ride (tickets included). Those who prefer not to take the train will continue with our guide into Tierra del Fuego National Park. We’ll reunite at the “Park Station” to continue discovering the park’s stunning landscapes, including Roca Lake and Lapataia Bay, where National Route 3, part of the Pan-American Route, ends.
At each stop, we’ll take short walks to admire the park’s diverse native forests and wildlife.
Following some free time for lunch, we’ll set off on a breathtaking navigation through the Beagle Channel, heading toward Ushuaia’s iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.
Along the way, we’ll pass the Bridges Archipelago, home to sea lion colonies and imperial cormorants. Other seabirds, such as gulls, petrels, albatrosses, and geese, may also be spotted.
Weather permitting, we’ll stop on one of the islands for a short walk, allowing you to observe the native flora and take in panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.
After visiting the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, we’ll return along the Beagle Channel’s northern coast, passing Estancia Tunel, the Playa Larga Natural and Cultural Reserve, and the city’s eastern side.
Our excursion concludes at Ushuaia pier, where you’ll have free time to explore the city at your own pace.
