OVERVIEW

Experience the wild beauty of Tierra del Fuego on a full-day guided hike to the Vinciguerra Glacier. Journey through peat bogs, forests, and alpine landscapes before reaching the glacier and its scenic lagoon. This challenging trek rewards hikers with striking views and a deep immersion in Patagonia’s untouched wilderness. Lunch, transport, and bilingual guiding are included.

ITINERARY

8:00 AM — The adventure starts with a hotel pickup and a short drive into the picturesque Andorra Valley. As you begin hiking at 8:30 AM, you follow a glacial-fed stream cutting through mossy peat bogs—challenging, soft terrain that immerses you right into Patagonia’s elemental wilderness.

10:30 AM — Entering the forest, the ascent becomes steady and rhythmic. As you climb, the trees thin and make way for high-altitude air and uninterrupted views of jagged peaks that loom over the valley below.

11:30 AM — You reach the awe-inspiring Laguna de los Témpanos, where the glacier once dropped icebergs into the lagoon. Today, the Vinciguerra Glacier still dominates the scene, its caves and icy contours glowing with natural mystique.

12:30 PM — Gather around the lagoon’s edge for lunch—a thoughtfully packed box-lunch—surrounded by dramatic alpine views and the serenity of ice and sky.

1:30 PM — The return hike begins, retracing your steps through the vibrant transitions of forest, bog, and stream, offering a different perspective on the way down.

4:00 PM — You reach the vehicle again, and by 4:30 PM, you’re back at your hotel—fulfilled, maybe a little muddy, and undoubtedly inspired by Patagonia’s majestic wild heart.
